Secret Proposal photo shoot in Copenhagen | Copenhagen engagement photographer
Two years ago, Aaron contacted me to help him plan a surprise proposal photo shoot in Copenhagen. The idea was to have a paparazzi-style photo shoot at first and, after the proposal, continue with a regular engagement photo session. We discussed location options and once we decided to shoot the engagement photo shoot at Copenhagen Botanical Garden, we chose the exact spot of the proposal. I’ve been doing wedding portraits and family photos sessions at the Botanical Garden for several years now. As I’m very familiar with the place, I sent Aaron a print screen from Google maps and a few pictures I took in that exact spot in previous photo sessions. After the location was all decided, we agreed on a time of the day when we could get the best lighting for the photos and the botanical garden would still be open (it closes at 6pm). So, 5pm it was!
When the day arrived, I waited at the agreed time and place, pretending to be a random tourist taking pictures of plants, when I see them walking and… he gets on one knee and proposes! Magical, emotional, unexpected (for her at least!) and the rest you can check out in the photos. 🙂
I was very happy that I could help Aaron to pull off his surprise proposal photo session in Copenhagen. Planning  a perfect secret proposal photo shoot can be incredibly stressful, specially when you’re not familiar with the city. It was important to plan everything carefully, so he could “relax” at the big moment, knowing everything would go smoothly. Also, relying on an experienced professional, definitely put Aaron at ease. At the end of the day, you just want to capture the love and the connection between two people that love each other.
