Every year, couples from all around the world come to Denmark to get married in Copenhagen. As a Copenhagen based wedding photographer, I get to photograph many civil weddings every year. So much so that I often hear my four year old daughter playing with her dolls saying “they are getting married at City Hall!”. Apparently, church weddings are not part of her imagination.

Last summer, this beautiful couple, opted for a beach wedding in Copenhagen, at Amager Strand. This is the perfect choice for those who want to get married on the beach, but also want to have the hustle and bustle of the city close at hand.
After a week of rainy days, they were very lucky with the weather on their wedding day in Copenhagen. They had a beautiful civil wedding ceremony accompanied by their closest friends, all live streamed to their families at home. The bride looked stunning in her beautiful dress and her flawless hair and make up by Ger, a very talented makeup artist in Copenhagen. The wedding flowers by Fiol Blomster gave the final touch to the look.
Once the ceremony was over, we had about thirty minutes for group and wedding portraits before heading to the reception. One picture I absolutely love is the one with the bride and all her bridesmaids walking towards the camera. I love the pink colour palette, the flowers, the flowing dresses, and above all, I love how they look happy together. After this quick wedding photo shoot at Amager Strand, we headed to Radisson Collection Royal Hotel, where the wedding reception took place. With an incredible view to Copenhagen, they had cake and champagne followed by lunch. With friends and good food, the day couldn’t have ended better!
