Copenhagen Wedding Photography: Frederiksberg Gardens Magic

I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely Danish couple in Copenhagen this summer for a wedding portrait session at Frederiksberg Gardens. Frederiksberg Gardens, or Frederiksberg Have in Danish, is truly a photographer’s dream come true. It’s a stunning green space in the city, ideal for family or wedding photography, and it provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. Genuine Connection: The Key to Heartfelt Wedding Photography

I had a great time photographing these two. The love and connection between them were so tangible, which really made my job as a wedding photographer so much easier. There’s one specific photo I adore, not because it’s a masterpiece in terms of photography, but because of what happened while I was shooting it. It’s actually two shots, one of the groom and another of the bride. Let me break down the story behind these two photos: I was aiming to take a portrait of the groom. My usual move is to have them look at their partner while I work my magic. So, this time, he whispers, “Hey, I love you” with that look of adoration. When I turned back around, she had this big, beaming smile on her face…and my heart melted into a puddle. And that, my friends, is why I absolutely adore capturing these lovebirds on camera.
